Carbon Footprint

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the greenhouse gasses that contributes most to global warming and ocean acidification. At this moment in time, almost all industrial processes emit CO2, which adversely affects our climate. Ships, trucks, and airplanes carry products around the globe, emitting the greenhouse gas, and the power plants that provide electricity to our houses and factories emit large quantities too. Unfortunately, that means that even in the production and transportation of pFIBRE products, CO2 is created as a side-effect.

Still, at pFIBRE we are in a unique position to clean up after ourselves. All pFIBRE products are made 100% from plants. When the pFIBRE plants grow, they help to absorb CO2 from the air, reducing the total amount of CO2 on Earth. With the help of our plants, and with other efforts that pFIBRE will be announcing in the future, we aim to become a carbon neutral company by 2030, absorbing at least as much CO2 from the air as that we’re producing.
